Graduate Research Assistantship

A graduate research assistantship (tuition plus stipend) is available starting April 1995 to work toward Ph.D. Research will focus on the role of the ubiquitin-dependent pathway of proteolysis during programmed cell death in plants. Graduate Assistantships
University of South Dakota, Vermillion
Biology Department offers Ph.D. research programs. Research areas include plant responses to drought, high-temperatures, and low-temperatures. Students will be using laboratory techniques such as light microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, immunocytochemistry, gel electrophoresis, and immunoassays. Students will be exposed to a curriculum that includes lecture and laboratory courses, journal clubs, workshops, and other opportunites to develop speaking and writing skills. Graduate assistantships ($13,000/year) are available on a competitive basis.
