Student Services

Assessment and Placement Testing -- A college or university may require assessment and/or placement testing prior to enrolling in a class. These assessments and test may be taken at the Area Learning Center near you.

Basic Skills Review

Contact the Area Learning Center near you in order to schedule a time and day that you can begin updating your skills in order to be a successful student. Review work in Math and English is just some of the few areas offered.

Pre-Enrollment Counseling/Career Counseling

The Area Learning Centers can assist you with counseling and direction. Assistance in the areas of: career counseling, course work, transferring credits, meeting challenges, and providing moral support are available, just for the asking.

GED Testing

Some of the Area Learning Centers offer coursework for completion of the General Equivalency Diploma. Many of our students have completed their GED and have gone on to take college credit classes in hopes of obtaining some form of a degree.

Financial Aid Information

The Area Learning Center can assist you with questions and problems concerning financial aid. We suggest that you look at the following web sites for additional information/assistance.

SAT Testing

The Greene County Area Learning Center is an approved site for the SAT testing. Contact the Greene County Area Learning Center for details.

Advanced Placement Classes

The Area Learning Center near you can get you on the road to a college degree by offering advanced placement classes that will not only serve as credits toward your high school diploma but may also provide completed hours toward your college degree. Contact the Area Learning Center and your high school counselor for details.

Project Excel

Dual enrollment class that serves for both high school senior English and college credit English Composition I. Contact the Area Learning Center.

College Credit

Qualified students can take college credit classes on their own with the parent and school counselor permission. Contact the Area Learning Center.
